So much has happened in the past few weeks!! It is hard to believe we had our grand opening just over a month ago!! We now have three American Mustang Rescues at UHP, Chirpa, Hope and our newest rescue, Shiloh. They are are so different, yet all so magically wonderful in their own beautiful way. Hope has come so far since she has been at UHP. To think she was so horribly abused is hard to fathom seeing this happy, social butterfly that she has turned into. However with any trauma, there will be triggers, and there are still times where her eyes become wild with terror and we have to gently talk her through whatever it is that she is feeling…. but she trusts us and she recovers quickly. I personally have found an incredible love for this Mustang… and am grateful we have found each other thanks to Cat Zimmerman❤️
Chirpa is our stoic queen…. she is the most wild of the three and is the lead mare. We wonder where the was ranked with her herd when she was wild since she seems to be such a natural leader. She is beautiful and strong, in mind and body. We are learning so much from each other, and I am grateful for the challenge. I was thrown twice from her, and thank God was ok, but those two falls taught me a lot about her, and myself. She is a wild heart, literally, and I need to learn her language.
Shiloh arrived last Saturday! She is a sweet gentle soul. She has a complicated background but needed a home and we decided after speaking with Cat that she would join our herd as our third rescue. She has settled in so well and has been a hit with all our volunteers. Her gentle aura can make you feel better, even on your worst day… she is a little gem.
As for the healing, I have witnessed it on so many levels already…. from people walking past, from our own volunteers, to my mom who is battling stage 4 cancer, to our young Marine Kevin, who has had to endure so much with his own battle with leukemia… whatever it is, it is magical…. it is a mix of energies, and it works.
On the business side, I must admit, it is harder than I thought!!! I have been blessed with an incredible team and honestly do not know what I would do without them!! Fundraising and getting the word out is where we need help. I know it will work, I have the ultimate faith in what we are doing and know it will all work out how it is supposed too❤️❤️
Thank you all so much for your support and following!! We have been busy behind the scenes working hard to see what we need to do to stop some of this madness that is happening to our wild horses and our domestic horses. I will have an update next week, but we have made contacts and are making progress!!!
November 3rd at 10:30 we will be a having Yoga at the barn fundraiser!!! More details to follow!!! If you have a dollar to spare, check out our Gofund me!!! We appreciate all and any support.
Much love,
